Patch Party is a traditionally pieced, beginner friendly 12-month Block of the Month quilt pattern. Quilters will learn and use basic skills like making 4-patch units, half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, flying geese, and square-in-a-square units. It is a great way to learn new piecing techniques. Note this is a great pattern to use with our Triangle tools:
There are 11 different quilt blocks and most months you will make two copies of the block, two months you will make four blocks, and one month you will make the jumbo center block. The final month contains the setting instructions. The entire pattern will be sent to you upon check out and you can make the quilt at your own pace.
In Patch Party, traditional quilt blocks are given a modern update through the use of solids and tone-on-tone prints. The quilt is made with Michael Miller Cotton Couture solids and Fairy Frost prints.
Most months, you will need one fat quarter of solid fabric and a fat eight of print. In the pattern materials section the fabric names are given, but in the rest of the piecing instructions, the fabrics are referred to as Solids and Prints. This makes it easy for you to substitute fabrics if needed.
